Properties：
White crystalline powder obtained from aqueous ethanol. The melting point is 153℃ and decomposition begins at dissolution. It is easily soluble in water and has a pH of 7.4 in 1% aqueous solution. Almost insoluble in alcohols, ethers, chloroform and benzene. It reacts with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, oxalic acid, phosphoric acid and nitric acid to form salts. The chlorides are easily soluble in water, while the sulfate and oxalate are only slightly soluble in water, while phosphate and nitrate cannot precipitate and crystallize. In the presence of nitrite, carbonyl hydrazine is converted to a highly explosive compound carbonyl azide. The aqueous solution of carbonyl hydrazine will decompose gradually when it is coheated with an acid or base.
Application:

Widely used in the production of herbicide plant growth regulator dye, etc
1. Carbonyl hydrazine is a derivative of hydrazine, with strong reducibility, can be used as an intermediate in the manufacture of energetic materials, but also can be directly used in fire and propellant components;
2. Antiseptic of oil refinery equipment, can be used as boiler water treatment agent deoxidizer;
3. Crosslinking agent for elastic fiber in chemical fiber industry;
4. As chemical raw materials and chemical intermediates, widely used in pharmaceutical herbicides, plant growth regulators, dyes and other industries.
